Recommendations: Always balance your DEX in multiplies of 10, for example if you get 155 dex, try to keep it at 160, otherwise, 150 and those points go to LUK or INT.
I recommend balancing the DEX first, then AGI and so you can allocate specific ASPD bonuses and not lose stats.

Overview

Archers are experts at long-range combat with Bows and Arrows. Their range gives them several advantages, which include:

  • The ability to change the element of their weapon quickly by changing their arrow type. This makes Archers able to exploit elemental advantages easily.
  • Accuracy and damage are increased by the same stat (DEX), allowing all attacks to connect and deal a lot damage.
  • Range enables archers to defeat stationary or slow-moving opponents that are stronger than they are without being hit.

Drawbacks of the Archer class include:

  • Low VIT limits their ability to survive when they are caught up in melee situations.
  • Require Arrows for every attack with a Bow. Running out of arrows in a firefight can make an Archer useless.

As Archer

Opinions are divided, but, usually it is advisable to raise Double Strafing in first place and move forward with the branch of skills, so that in last place Improve Concentration is raised, without forgetting that Arrow Shower should be raised as the last skill, we are talking about priority skills to raise, arrow shower at least at this time lacks utility compared to other skills.

Gear Progression

Start by buying a Composite Bow (2,500z) at Payon's armory, hold steady until you have enough for at least a Cross Bow (17,000z), then you can upgrade to a Gakkung Bow (42,000z) or you can simply save enough zeny (64,000z) to get a Hunter Bow once you change classes.

Job 40 or higher

To change class you must at least be job 41 (40 is necessary but 41 is recommended) and be able to upgrade most of the mandatory skills for your class, once you are reborn you can choose to upgrade Arrow Shower to level 9, but again, it is optional.

Once you become Hunter, it is advisable to upgrade as fast as possible blitz beat and the whole line of skills of the mentioned branch, first Falcon Mastery (mainly to be able to rent a falcon), Blitz Beat and finally steel crown that increases your damage, then you can continue with Beast Bane or Ankle Snare according to your preference.

The adventurers set is an own set of the server, it is almost free, the only requirement is to perform the quests it has for you.

It is divided into three tiers, doubling its cost each time, getting the complete set without the weapon has a value of 20, 40 and 80.

We recommend getting the set as it is account bound and you can use it on your next characters, it is not tradeable.


You can replace the bow for any option that suits you better, it is just a suggestion and it is NOT mandatory to have the weapon of the set to take advantage of the benefits.

A classic build without many complications, lots of aspd, lots of damage. You can reduce dex/agi a bit and add some more int to have a bigger SP pool. A very simple build that doesn't need to go too deep into the class, eventually when you become a sniper you can try to optimize it. The idea is to close the DEX in multiplies of 10 and the agi to match your aspd.

You can use the adventurers set or directly a pantie and undershirt set. Another option is to get 2 gloves with slot and a zerom card for each one and get high dex multipliers, ideally over 130.


AutoBlitz

This build focuses mainly on basic attacks, high aspd above all.


  • Only set off from normal attacks with a bow. Attacking with skills, daggers, or fists will not trigger it.
  • May be triggered even if the attack misses or is blocked by a skill. Basically, a chance for every arrow.
  • For every 3 points of LUK there is an additional 1% chance Auto-Blitz Beat will be triggered.
  • The number of times Auto-Blitz Beat will hit its enemy depends on the level of Blitz Beat and the job level of the character. Job levels 1-9 allow it to hit up to one time, while job levels 40+ allow the maximum of 5 hits if level 5 Blitz Beat is attained.
  • The damage dealt is divided by the number of enemies Auto-Blitz Beat hits. For example, if it hits 3 enemies at once each enemy would receive 1/3 of the damage.
Reference Builds

The hunter class has very little variation between stats and optimal builds, the most classic "pure agi/dex" build is to leave both stats at 99 base, we offer some basic options to give you an idea or refresh your memory.

The " biggest " variations start when you are a Sniper.

Overview

One shot, one kill! There is no better way to describe the Sniper. They specialize in precise and powerful ranged attacks. The Sniper is the master of the Bow. In a Sniper’s hands, the bow is a deadly instrument capable of dealing massive damage and carnage. Once reborn, as High Archer your leveling places are very similar. It is advisable to collect a number of Repeatable Quests before being reborn, so we recommend leveling up in pinguiculas or Anolians.


Class Data

We suggest that your skill progression be similar to Hunter's, prioritizing Falcon's skill section (Beast Bane, Steel Crown, etc). NO LEVEL UP Falcon Assault unless you want to dedicate a build to use this skill.

Prioritize Sharp Shooting and then True Sight.

Leveling

We recommend following a similar route to Hunter, with the particularity that now you can use sharp shooting to kill groups of enemies instead of one.

From level 90 we recommend:

  • New World, Tatachos, using Ankle Snare and fire arrows.
  • Nameless, Banshees, Bathory card almost mandatory and silver arrows.
  • Thor Volcano, it is indispensable to have a High Priest of double count and a pasana card in armor.
  • Perform adv guild missions from level 90 of high difficulty.
  • Partys in groups on demand.
